Financial Reporting Specialist role open now in Calgary! $45/hour+, get started ASAP!Agilus is recruiting for a Financial Reporting Specialist in the finance sector in Calgary, Alberta. We're working with our client to hire a Financial Reporting Specialist to join their finance team. Perfect person for this role will be an advanced Power BI and MS Excel user, and experienced in all aspects of financial reporting and analysis. What's in it for you:- $45.00 - $50.00 hourly
- Location: SE Calgary
- Contract duration: 6 months
- Work model: hybrid, in-office Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm
Responsibilities:- Prepare timely reports, position papers, and documentation for internal stakeholders and external bodies.
- Produce ad hoc financial reports and analysis for decision-making.
- Maintain complete and accurate transaction support and reconciliations.
- Research and prepare accounting issue papers for leadership.
- Provide accurate financial reporting aligned with PSAS standards.
- Assist with year-end working papers and audit documentation.
- Prepare and review internal and external financial reports.
- Ensure the organization’s risk management, controls, and governance processes are effective.
Successful candidates will have:- 5+ years of experience in financial analysis and reporting
- Strong working knowledge of Power BI and MS Excel
- CPA or CMA designation (or close to)
- Experience with high volume account reconciliations
