Public practice firm seeking a Cloud Accounting Manager with QBO/Dext/Xero expertise and proven team leadership to drive client success and digital innovation.Agilus is recruiting for a Cloud Accounting Manager in the public accounting sector in a hybrid work environment in Edmonton, Alberta. - Bonus Structure: Performance-based bonus tied to achieving billing targets set at 3x base salary; percentage of billings paid out as bonus.
A day in the life:- Lead, mentor, and review the work of Junior and Senior Cloud Bookkeepers.
- Design and implement standardized cloud bookkeeping workflows across the firm.
- Assign and manage bookkeeping engagements to ensure deadlines and quality standards are met.
- Prepare client quotes and proposals for bookkeeping services and training.
- Onboard and train clients on cloud accounting platforms and integrated apps.
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual bookkeeping using QBO, Xero, and Dext, including GST filings and payroll processing.
- Deliver accurate, customized financial reporting packages while maintaining strict data security and compliance.
- Strengthen client relationships, stay current with cloud technology advancements, and drive process automation and system integrations.
You bring:- Diploma or equivalent in accounting, business, or a related field required.
- Minimum 5 years of full-cycle public accounting experience required.
- Must have minimum of 3 years of experience with cloud-based accounting platforms
- Minimum 2 years of proven experience managing and training a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to explain complex concepts clearly and concisely.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated and collaborative, demonstrating a strong work ethic and keen attention to detail.
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, with a creative approach to resolving client issues.
