Join our Data Engineering Network!!Agilus is recruiting for many Data Engineers in the IT Sector. in a hybrid work environment in Toronto, Ontario. Agilus is continuously hiring experienced Senior Data Engineers for clients across various different industries to help modernize and build data solutions. Our clients consistently look for Data Engineers to design, build, and optimize modern, scalable data solutions on cloud platforms. Roles involve leading data migration initiatives, developing robust data pipelines, and enabling advanced analytics and reporting capabilities. Responsibilities:- Lead large-scale data migration projects to modern cloud-based platforms (Azure, Snowflake).
- Assess existing data structures and design transformation strategies for seamless migration.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using tools such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Informatica IICS.
- Implement real-time and batch data ingestion frameworks from diverse sources (ERP, CRM, IoT, eCommerce).
- Optimize pipeline performance and ensure reliability for enterprise-scale environments.
- Architect and maintain data warehouses and data lakes following best practices (e.g., medallion architecture).
- Develop dimensional and relational data models to support analytics and reporting.
- Support and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for business intelligence needs.
Requirements:- Hands-on experience with Analytics and Reporting tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, Qlik.
- Strong proficiency in SQL (complex queries, stored procedures, performance tuning).
- 5+ years in data engineering and data warehousing, with expertise in large-scale data migration and pipeline development.
- Proven experience in enterprise-scale environments, preferably in retail or consumer-focused industries.
- Hands-on experience with (one or more), Azure Data Services (Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Data Lake, Synapse, Azure SQL Database, Azure Databricks), AWS Data Services (S3, Glue, Airflow, EC2), GCP Data Services (BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud SQL), Snowflake, Informatica.
- Programming skills in Python (data processing, automation) and familiarity with API integrations.
- Knowledge of real-time streaming frameworks (e.g., Spark Structured Streaming, Kafka, Event Hubs).
- Understanding of data modeling concepts, ETL/ELT patterns, and cloud data architecture principles.

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
