Accounts Payable Specialist

New AP role available in Edmonton! Permanent opportunity, $55K+, start ASAP!Agilus is recruiting for an Accounts Payable Specialist in the accounting sector in Edmonton, Alberta. We are seeking a detail-oriented, experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our client's growing Accounting & Finance team. This role specializes in Accounts Payable with exposure and cross-training on the Accounts Receivable and payroll functions. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, learns quickly, and contributes positively to a team of welcoming staff. What's in it for you:- 55K - 65K annually

Responsibilities:- Process high-volume invoices with accuracy and efficiency
- Process payments and support the end-to-end AP cycle
- Review and manage invoice queues daily
- Collaborate closely with the Purchasing Department on purchase orders
- Assist with AR and payroll functions as needed
- Support month-end processes and financial operations
- Maintain accurate records and uphold internal controls
- Troubleshoot discrepancies from sales orders/POs through to final payment
Requirements:- 3+ years of Accounts Payable experience
- Experience working in distribution or manufacturing companies
- Strong purchase order processing experience
- Ability to manage high-volume, fast-paced workloads
- Experience with Salesforce (preferred)
- Thorough understanding of the full AP process
- Strong technical aptitude; able to learn systems and processes quickly
- Experience with AR/AP combined functions and payroll is an asset
