Sr. Business Analyst

Agilus is recruiting for a Sr. Business Analyst in the Financial Services in a hybrid work environment in Toronto, Ontario. A leading Canadian wealth and investment management organization is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support a high impact AI driven initiative focused on portfolio risk monitoring, investment research, and market intelligence.
This role will work closely with senior investment stakeholders and technology teams to translate business needs and an existing proof of concept into clear, actionable requirements that support delivery of a pilot solution, with strong potential for extension. A typical day:- • Partner with wealth and investment stakeholders to gather and document business and functional requirements
- • Translate complex investment and market workflows into clear, structured documentation
- • Support the evolution of an AI enabled proof of concept into a scalable solution
- • Produce functional specifications, epics, user stories, or structured requirements documents as appropriate
- • Act as a liaison between business and technology teams throughout the delivery lifecycle
- • Support solution discussions related to dashboards, analytics outputs, and data integration
- • Contribute to QA and UAT activities to ensure solutions meet business expectations
- • Operate within governance, risk, and compliance standards in a regulated environment
Successful candidates will have:- • 10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst within financial services
- • Strong background in investment management, asset management, or wealth management
- • Solid understanding of buy side investment concepts such as portfolio construction, risk monitoring, and market analysis
- • Experience working with investment related data including holdings, trades, positions, and market data
- • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- • Ability to work effectively in agile or hybrid delivery environments
