Lead Process Design & Simulation for Major Energy Projects – Minimum 12-Month Term Opportunity!Agilus is recruiting for a Process Engineer - Simulation & Major Equipment in the Oil and Gas industry in Calgary, Alberta. Join a leading energy solutions provider as a Process Engineer for a minimum 12-month term. You’ll drive simulation validation and major equipment sizing for gas processing and modular facility projects, ensuring accurate process design and compliance with engineering standards. Responsibilities:- Develop and validate process simulations for gas processing units
- Generate and maintain PFDs and P&IDs throughout project phases
- Perform sizing and performance evaluations for major equipment
- Design tower layouts, tray configurations, and tank sizing
- Update P&IDs based on calculations and vendor data
- Interpret and apply engineering specifications for compliance
- Coordinate technical requirements with vendors and other disciplines
- Contribute to project documentation including datasheets and manuals
Requirements:- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Process, or Mechanical Engineering
- Eligible for or registered as a P.Eng. with APEGA (or equivalent)
- 3–10 years of experience in gas processing or modular plant design
- Proficiency in simulation tools (Symmetry, Aspen HYSYS, Promax)
- Strong knowledge of equipment performance curves and design codes
- Experience developing PFDs, P&IDs, and equipment datasheets
- Familiarity with Canadian industry standards (CSA, ASME)
- Effective coordination skills with multidisciplinary teams
