Senior Process Engineer

Agilus is recruiting for multiple Senior Process Engineers in the Engineering Sector in Calgary, Alberta.
The Senior Process Engineer delivers advanced process engineering support across multidisciplinary energy projects, ensuring technical accuracy, regulatory compliance, and on-time delivery. This role provides expert design input, supports project execution from concept through commissioning, and collaborates closely with internal teams, customers, and vendors. The Senior Process Engineer also mentors junior staff, resolves technical challenges, and stays current with industry standards and innovations.

Total rewards:
  • $70.00 - $100.00 hourly
  • Opportunity to work for an industry leading, large EPC.

A typical day:
  • Deliver process engineering work that meets project, regulatory, and customer requirements.
  • Develop and review calculations, simulations, datasheets, and technical documents.
  • Support project meetings, progress reporting, and quality-checking procedures.
  • Provide technical input during procurement, construction, and commissioning.
  • Assist the Process Lead in scope control, design coordination, and change management.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues and discrepancies with customer expectations.
  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
  • Mentor and guide junior process engineers in technical tasks and best practices.

Successful candidates will have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a relevant discipline.
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation required.
  • Strong expertise in SAGD, gas processing, or cogeneration/gas-to-power projects.
  • Advanced knowledge of process engineering fundamentals and related disciplines.
  • Proficiency with process simulation tools and MS Office applications.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory codes, standards, and industry practices.
  • Extensive experience delivering process engineering on multidisciplinary projects.
  • Effective communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
