Agilus is recruiting for a Process Engineer - Piping, Pipe Specification & BOM in the Oil and Gas industry in Calgary, Alberta.
Join a leading energy solutions provider as a Process Engineer specializing in piping specifications and BOM development. In this 12-month term role, you’ll ensure material traceability, accuracy, and alignment with major equipment requirements while collaborating with procurement, fabrication, and construction teams.

Responsibilities:
  • Align piping geometry and routing with equipment layout requirements
  • Develop and maintain line lists and ensure correct P&ID numbering
  • Review pipe material specifications and generate BOMs for inline items
  • Select and verify valves, strainers, blinds, and specialty components
  • Support fabrication planning, spool reviews, and drawing validation
  • Generate BOMs and paint travelers for coating traceability
  • Collaborate with procurement, fabrication, and construction teams
  • Participate in constructability reviews and incorporate lessons learned

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Process Engineering
  • Eligible for or registered as a P.Eng. with APEGA (or equivalent)
  • 2–7 years of experience in piping material selection and component specification
  • Familiarity with pipe specs, valves, strainers, and specialty items
  • Hands-on experience with line lists, BOM preparation, and traceability
  • Knowledge of fabrication and spool-level manufacturing workflows
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Field or shop experience supporting constructability is an asset
