Contracts Advisor
Calgary, AB
Agilus is recruiting for a Contracts Advisor in the Oil and Gas Sector in Calgary, Alberta. The incumbent will be responsible for handling the day-to-day contract maintenance and administration in accordance with client requirements. This role will include informal leadership guidance from SCM Managers as part of the day-to-day activities in supporting the Operations team. Total rewards:- $60.00 - $80.00 hourly
- Pay Rates T4 range - $62/hr to $76/hr and for IC range $76/hr to $85/hr
- 1 year contract
- Mon to Fri 40 hours per week, all days in office
- Calgary downtown office
A typical day:- • Execute procurement best practices for sourcing activities, ensuring these practices are in accordance with COIMS, Procurement Policy, and all relevant regulations.
- • Manage scope specific pre-award procurement matters including contract strategies, pre-qualifications, bid evaluations, negotiations, award, and contract formation.
- • Develop Project specific Contracting Strategies, Execution Plans, and Contract Administration Plans.
- • Ensure all Procurement documentation is stored in the appropriate Contract Management Systems in accordance with the Procurement Information Plan.
- • Liaise and consult with subject matter experts (SMEs) from Legal, Risk Management, HSE, QA/QC, etc. in support of pre and post award commercial activities.
- • Support COIMS E11 compliance. Compile data to assist in periodic reviews of supplier performance (Performance Scorecards/Metrics) against established KPIs.
- • Develop and deploy, in conjunction with various execution teams, the right contracting strategy to meet execution plans while maximizing sustainable competitive advantage in cost, cash and operational performance
Successful candidates will have:- 7+ years of experience in Contract management role
- Experience with Conventional Projects, Category Management, SCM Shared Services, Community and Indigenous Affairs, Legal, audit, and other CVE internal teams as required
- SAP systems for P2P process, Microsoft Office products
- Develop and deploy, in conjunction with various execution teams, the right contracting strategy to meet execution plans while maximizing sustainable competitive advantage in cost, cash and operational performance
- Lead sourcing, contracting, procurement and supplier management for capital projects portfolio
- Work collaboratively with other team members to identify and drive implementation of metrics, tools, and processes to optimize sourcing activities and efficiencies
