Mechanical HVAC Design Engineer

Agilus is recruiting for a Mechanical HVAC Design Engineer in the Engineering Sector in Windsor, Ontario. Our client is seeking Mechanical HVAC Design Engineers to support their industrial projects locally and internationally. This position involves working heavily on HVAC and building systems. Total rewards:- $30.00 - $40.00 hourly

A typical day:- Maintain and improve engineering standards and best practices.
- Design HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems for various building types.
- Develop technical reports, engineering documents, and value engineering analyses.
- Liaise with clients and contractors to ensure project scope compliance.
- Provide field consultation and troubleshoot mechanical system issues.
- Assist in developing scopes of work and bid packages.
- Review shop drawings, RFIs, and field reports to meet project timelines.
- Support mechanical cost estimating and budgeting.
Successful candidates will have:- Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering or Technologist Diploma.
- Valid P.Eng or CET in Ontario, or actively pursuing designation.
- 3–5 years of experience in mechanical building systems design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM360 (preferred).
- Familiarity with codes and standards (OBC, NBC, ASHRAE, NFPA, CSA, etc.).
- Experience in educational, commercial, industrial, and healthcare projects.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently.
