Materials Engineer

Agilus is recruiting for a Materials Engineer in the Oil and Gas Sector in Fort McMurray, Alberta. Our client in the Oil and Gas Sector is looking for a Condition Based Monitoring Specialist in Fort McMurray Total rewards:- $50.00 - $60.00 hourly
- Pay Rate $50/hr for EIT and $60/hr for P.Eng
- Contract until Dec 31, 2026
- Location - Fort McMurray
- Mon to Fri 40 hours per week, Completely onsite role
A typical day:- Create Inspection Packages for piping inspection (time based, condition based and/or risk based)
- Review the NDE results, determine corrosion rate, Probability of Failure, Financial+SHE risk and make recommendations on interventions / next inspections as needed
- Work with stake holders for higher corrosion rate circuits, piping inspection deferrals as needed
- Work towards Zero overdue piping inspections in assigned units
Successful candidates will have:- Candidates with below experience will be given preference:
a) Mechanical Engr with experience on piping, damage mechanism and/or inspection
b) QA inspector with experience on piping, damage mechanism and/or inspection
c) Materials Engr with experience around damage mechanisms / inspection
- i. Mechanical Engr EIT/P.Eng with piping experience
- ii. QA (with experience around creating inspection packages for piping/equipment and analyzing NDE / inspection results
- iii. Materials Engr (EIT/P.Eng) with experience around damage mechanisms.
