Lead Manufacturing Excellence in a High-Impact Director of Production Role
Agilus is recruiting for a Director of Production in the manufacturing industry in Victoria, British Columbia.
Agilus Work Solutions is recruiting a Director of Production to lead end-to-end manufacturing operations for a complex, high-volume millwork and cabinetry environment. Reporting to senior leadership, this hands-on director-level role blends strategic oversight with day-to-day plant engagement. The successful candidate will bring structure, accountability, and modernization to production operations while aligning factory output with construction and installation demands.

Total rewards:
  • $109000.00 - $150000.00 annually
  • Permanent, full-time role (minimum 40 hours per week)

A typical day:
  • Lead all day-to-day manufacturing and plant operations, including labour planning and scheduling
  • Align production sequencing with installation schedules and construction timelines
  • Act as the operational link between shop floor production and field installation teams
  • Drive lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and KPI performance
  • Oversee quality standards, reducing rework and improving throughput
  • Implement technology solutions to enhance planning, visibility, and efficiency
  • Plan and execute capital equipment and facility upgrades
  • Lead safety culture, regulatory compliance, and COR certification efforts

Successful candidates will have:
  • 10+ years of progressive manufacturing experience, including 5+ years in leadership
  • Proven background in millwork, cabinetry, or construction-related manufacturing
  • Experience leading high-volume, deadline-driven production environments
  • Strong knowledge of woodworking equipment (CNC, beam saws, edge banders, finishing systems)
  • Demonstrated success improving KPIs such as OEE, labour efficiency, and on-time delivery
  • Solid understanding of WorkSafeBC regulations and COR standards
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team-development skills
  • Post-secondary education in Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations, or related field
