Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for a Senior Facilities & Smart Workplace Manager in the real estate sector in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Our client is seeking an experienced facilities and smart-workplace leader to oversee the development, commissioning, and long-term operation of a flagship technology-enabled workplace in Surrey, BC. This unique opportunity blends facilities leadership, construction oversight, workplace technology, vendor management, and mission-critical infrastructure support. You will influence how the workplace is built, ensure operational readiness before occupancy, and ultimately lead facilities operations as the organization grows.

A typical day:

Lead facilities and workplace operations planning throughout construction, commissioning, and occupancy
Coordinate with contractors, architects, consultants, landlords, technology partners, and service vendors
Develop and oversee maintenance programs, asset lifecycle plans, work-order systems, and operational procedures
Manage smart-workplace technologies, workplace experience platforms, access control systems, and vendor-supported infrastructure
Establish emergency response, business continuity, compliance, and operational readiness programs
Build documentation standards, performance reporting, and a scalable facilities support function

Requirements:

Bring 10+ years of progressive experience in facilities management, workplace operations, construction, or corporate real estate
Demonstrate success leading office fit-outs, major renovations, commissioning projects, or new facility launches
Possess experience supporting mission-critical environments such as data centres, high-density server rooms, or critical infrastructure facilities
Show strong knowledge of facility maintenance, asset management, vendor contracts, lifecycle planning, and compliance requirements
Exhibit the ability to work effectively with smart-building technologies, workplace systems, and technical service providers
Hold a relevant degree, diploma, trade qualification, professional certification, or equivalent industry experience
