Maintenance Manager (Property Management)

Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for a Maintenance Manager (Property Management) in the Real Estate industry in Vancouver, British Columbia.
As a Maintenance Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the physical integrity, safety, and high-quality living experience for residents across the community. You will lead maintenance operations with a strong commitment to customer service, compliance, sustainability, and team development.

Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Operational Management : Lead, supervise, and support all maintenance staff, service providers, and contractors and establish expectations and mentor team members through proactive communication and one-on-one engagement.
Manage team performance reviews in consultation with the Property Manager
Schedule and coordinate maintenance activities for efficiency and service quality
Preventive & Corrective Maintenance : Oversee preventive, routine, and emergency maintenance; maintain accurate records and conduct inspections (daily site, weekly vacant suites) and ensure timely follow-up on findings
Complete and supervise minor plumbing, electrical, painting, and general repairs and monitor and maintain mechanical systems (e.g., boilers, fire panels, HVAC, elevators)
Resident & Customer Service : Foster a culture of high service standards and prompt response to resident concerns and promote resident satisfaction through clear communication, follow-up, and reliable maintenance service
Sustainability & Community Engagement :Support environmental sustainability and social responsibility goals. Respond promptly to environmental hazards and prioritize energy-efficient practices

Successful candidates will have:

High school diploma with post-secondary coursework; WHMIS and First Aid are assets
Minimum 5 years in building operations, including mechanical, HVAC, fire, and electrical systems
Ability to read construction drawings
Willing to be available for after-hours callouts in emergency or unavoidable situations
Police Clearance – A criminal verification check is required for employment
