Financial Controller

Contract Controller needed in downtown Vancouver! Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for a Financial Controller in the financial space in Vancouver, British Columbia. We are partnering with a project-based professional services organization to hire a Controller to support financial operations and drive business performance. This is an opportunity to join a collaborative team and play a key role in both day-to-day accounting and strategic decision-making. What's in it for you:- $90.00 - $100.00 hourly
- Location: downtown Vancouver
- Contract to permanent hire (starting in a contract position to ensure right fit)
- Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5pm
- Hybrid work model
Responsibilities:- Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Oversee general accounting functions, including reconciliations and close processes
- Manage project-based financial tracking, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Partner with operational leaders to provide insight into project performance and profitability
- Support cash flow management, budgeting, and long-term financial planning
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and support audit processes
- Maintain and enhance internal controls, policies, and financial procedures
Requirements:- CPA designation required
- 7+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including leadership exposure
- Strong background in project-based or professional services environments
- Experience with financial reporting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate financial insights clearly
- NetSuite experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP
