Technology Procurement & Vendor Management Specialist

Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for a Technology Procurement & Vendor Management Specialist in the IT Sector in a hybrid work environment in Toronto, Ontario.
Opportunity to work for one of Toronto's most recognizable companies
A typical day:

? Collaborate with D&T and other departments to understand their technology requirements and support the development of procurement strategies to meet those needs consistent with overall company and procurement objectives.
? Support the development of RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs for IT-related purchases.
? Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review vendor responses and make recommendations for vendor selection.
? Conduct market research to inform procurement decisions and identify potential cost-saving opportunities through strategic sourcing, volume discounts, and alternative procurement methods
? Monitor vendor spend (costs), proactively identifying opportunities to improve cost-effectiveness.
? Liaise with vendors during contract negotiations to help secure favorable terms, including pricing, service level agreements, and delivery schedules.
? Review and analyze contract terms and conditions to mitigate risks and ensure alignment with organizational goals and standards.
? Maintain a contract management system to track contract expiration dates, renewals, and compliance obligations.

Successful candidates will have:

? Strong understanding of IT products and services, including hardware, software, cloud solutions, and licensing models.
? Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
? Strong project management, organization, and time management skills.
? Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities effectively.
? Build/foster solid relationships and organizational alignment with all stakeholders.
? Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors
? Highly professional, ability to manage multiple vendor relationships simultaneously.

Total rewards:

$60.00 - $80.00 hourly
Great extendible contract opportunity with the possibility to convert to full time.

Soft skills:

? Track record of driving value, optimizing processes, or identifying cost efficiencies in a professional setting.
? Demonstrated stakeholder/relationship management and networking skills.
? Strong interpersonal skills with a foundational aptitude for negotiation and relationship building.
