Specialist, Strategic Financial Evaluations

Agilus is recruiting for a Specialist, Strategic Financial Evaluations in the Energy Industry in a hybrid work environment in Toronto, Ontario. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining complex financial models to support investment decisions, regulatory filings, and corporate approval processes A typical day:- Build and maintain integrated financial models incorporating tax, financing, accounting, legal, and regulatory factors.
- Support corporate and GDS project approval processes, providing guidance to business units.
- Prepare materials for regulatory filings, including evidence, schedules, and studies for rate or facilities applications/hearings.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of investment evaluations.
- Communicate results and collaborate with teams on strategic and tactical planning
- Conduct post-investment reviews comparing actual results to approved economics.
- Research industry trends and best practices in financial modeling.
Successful candidates will have:- University degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, or Engineering (preferred: MBA, CFA, CPA, B.Comm or similar).
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in business valuations and/or capital investment analysis using discounted cash flow modeling.
- Advanced Excel modeling skills and strong knowledge of accounting, tax, and finance principles.
Total rewards:- $50.00 - $55.00 hourly
- Contract position until the end of July 2026
- Pay rate based on years of experience and skills
- Hybrid work model: Mon, Tue, Thu in office
- Location: North York, On
