Site Reliability Engineer

Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for multiple Site Reliability Engineers in the financial services in a hybrid work environment in Toronto, Ontario.
We're partnering with an innovative Canadian technology company that is continuing to scale its cloud-native platform and is looking to add a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to its growing Platform Engineering team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex infrastructure challenges, building reliable systems at scale, and driving automation across modern cloud environments. You'll work alongside experienced software engineers and platform specialists to improve system reliability, scalability, and developer experience.
A typical day:

Design and operate highly available Kubernetes-based infrastructure
Build automation to improve deployment, monitoring, and operational workflows
Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
Improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment reliability
Enhance platform observability through monitoring, logging, and alerting
Lead incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis
Partner with development teams to improve application reliability and performance
Contribute to platform architecture, scalability, and security initiatives

Successful candidates will have:

5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Cloud Infrastructure
Strong hands-on production experience with Kubernetes
Experience supporting cloud environments (AWS preferred)
Expertise with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code
Experience with Docker and containerized applications
Strong Linux administration skills
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation
Programming or scripting experience (Go, Python, Bash, or similar)

Total rewards:

$70.00 - $90.00 hourly

Additional Consideration given to:

GitOps experience
Service mesh technologies
Cloud networking and security experience
Experience supporting SaaS or customer-facing platforms
Previous experience in high-growth technology organizations
