Senior Software Engineer – Build Scalable Fintech Products
Agilus is recruiting for a Senior Software Engineer in the financial services industry in a hybrid work environment in Toronto, Ontario.
This Senior Software Engineer role is a chance to build high-impact digital banking products that empower small business owners. You’ll work end to end across a modern full-stack environment, helping design, build, and scale systems used by millions. The role suits a curious, impact-driven engineer who thrives in fast-moving settings, takes ownership of outcomes, and enjoys tackling complex problems while shaping long-term technical direction.
A typical day:

Own features end to end from design through deployment and monitoring
Build high-quality, scalable front-end and back-end systems
Maintain and optimize production systems and cloud infrastructure
Collaborate with product and design to deliver customer-focused solutions
Improve system reliability, performance, and resilience
Drive technical and process improvements across the platform
Mentor and support junior engineers through collaboration and feedback

Requirements:

Bring 3+ years of full-stack software engineering experience
Deliver complex features independently with minimal oversight
Communicate clearly across technical and non-technical teams
Mentor peers and contribute to team growth and knowledge sharing
Experience with Typescript, Node.js, React, and AWS
Previous experience in either FinTech, B2B SaaS, and start up environments

Total rewards:

$155000.00 - $165000.00 annually
