Senior Mobile Engineer (React Native) – Lead Scalable iOS & Android Experiences
Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for a Senior Mobile Engineer in the financial services industry in a hybrid work environment in Toronto, Ontario.
This Senior Mobile Engineer role is an opportunity to lead the development of high-impact mobile applications across iOS and Android using React Native. You’ll combine deep technical expertise with leadership to shape architecture, establish engineering standards, and mentor developers. Working closely with product, design, and accessibility teams, you’ll deliver scalable, high-performing mobile solutions that create exceptional customer experiences.
Responsibilities:

Lead design and development of scalable React Native applications
Define and implement mobile architecture and engineering standards
Integrate native iOS and Android capabilities into mobile solutions
Conduct code reviews and improve testing and release practices
Mentor engineers and contribute to team capability building
Collaborate with product and design to deliver user-focused solutions
Drive continuous improvements in performance and code quality
Support mobile CI/CD pipelines and release management processes

Requirements:

Demonstrate 7+ years of software engineering experience
Bring strong hands-on expertise with React Native and TypeScript
Strong background with native iOS or Android development environments
Proven expertise with scalable architecture and enforcing engineering best practices
Experience with mentorship and cross functional leadership
