Power BI Developer

Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for a Power BI Developer in the financial services in a hybrid work environment in Toronto, Ontario.
Our client is seeking an experienced Power BI Developer / BI Analytics Consultant to support enterprise reporting, data analytics, and business intelligence initiatives. This role will work closely with business and technology stakeholders to develop analytical solutions, reporting frameworks, and data-driven insights that support strategic decision-making. The successful candidate will possess strong technical expertise in data visualization, data transformation, reporting, and analytics, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into actionable insights.
A day in the life:

Develop, design, and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and visualizations.
Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable reporting and analytics solutions.
Prepare, cleanse, transform, and validate data from multiple sources.
Design and implement analytical models and reporting frameworks.
Deliver insights and recommendations through data analysis and visualization.
Integrate and consolidate data from multiple systems to support reporting and decision-making.
Support data quality initiatives and establish best practices for reporting and governance.
Develop automated processes to improve reporting efficiency and data validation.

Requirements:

5-7+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, reporting, or related fields.
Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Mathematics, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.
Strong experience with: Power BI SQL Python Power Platform (PowerApps) Data transformation and ETL processes
Experience developing dashboards, scorecards, and executive reporting solutions.
Strong understanding of data modeling, reporting architecture, and business intelligence best practices.
Experience working with large, complex datasets from multiple sources.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Additional Consideration given to:

Advanced degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
Experience with process automation tools (e.g., UiPath).
Knowledge of digital analytics, customer journey analytics, or marketing measurement.
Experience within large enterprise or financial services environments.

Total rewards:

$75.00 - $85.00 hourly
