Lead Safety Excellence on a High-Impact Energy Project in Sundre
Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for an EHS Advisor in the Oil and Gas industry in Sundre, Alberta.
We are seeking an experienced EHS Site Advisor to support a major energy project in Sundre, Alberta. This role is key to driving a proactive safety culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting field operations through hands-on leadership and technical expertise. Total rewards:
  • $80.00 - $100.00 hourly
  • Earn competitive hourly pay of $80-$100/hr based on experience
  • Work 30–40 hours weekly with flexible 3–5 day scheduling
  • Gain experience on a high-profile industrial project
  • Opportunity for contract extension beyond year-end
  • Limited travel requirements (less than 25%)
  • Exposure to both field and office-based work environments
  • Contribute to impactful safety initiatives and programs
  • Build valuable industry experience in midstream operations

Responsibilities:
  • Provide daily EHS support to field operations and site teams
  • Ensure compliance with provincial regulations and company standards
  • Conduct inspections, audits, and hazard assessments
  • Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions
  • Deliver site orientations, safety training, and toolbox talks
  • Support WCB claims and return-to-work processes
  • Maintain EHS documentation, reports, and procedures
  • Participate in risk assessments and emergency response planning

Requirements:
  • Hold a diploma or degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field
  • Bring 3–7+ years of EHS experience in industrial or energy environments
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of Alberta OHS legislation
  • Possess experience with incident investigations and root cause analysis
  • Show familiarity with WCB claims management processes
  • Maintain a valid driver’s licence and ability to travel to site
  • Exhibit strong communication and leadership capabilities
  • Hold a CRSP or NCSO designation (considered an asset)
