Contracts Lead III
Strathcona Refinery, Edmonton, AB
Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for a Contracts Lead III in the Oil and Gas Sector in Strathcona Refinery, Edmonton, Alberta. The Site Commercial Specialist (SCS) is the primary commercial interface for the site. As the primary commercial partner at the site, the SCS bridges the EPOs by having a deep understanding of the site business processes. Extracting value by partnering in key processes such as GRS6 D&E, Annual Maintenance Plan, Long Range Plan, majors, rental coordination, MS&O spend reviews, etc. The SCS is accountable to review each of the above plans and identify commercial approaches to deliver incremental value. Ideally the person filling this role has been in the business and advocates for the best commercial outcomes. Total rewards:- $95.00 hourly
- 12 Months of contract position
- Regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday
A typical day:- Target Industries / Backgrounds Buyer, contract manager, category manager, procurement specialist, mechanical lead, and contract engineer.
- SCS is a partner with the business seeking outcomes that maximize corporate value, SCS is a commercial leader, visible in key planning and execution meetings, SCS is a partner with the business and is responsible in reviewing and distributing commercial bidding opportunities within the extended team.
- SCS provides site commercial expertise for Procurement activities, including bids, negotiations, settlements, etc.
- Mechanical SLS/FLSs: AMP (line items, SEPs), Process SLS/FLSs, Mechanical Availability Lead / Business Team Lead, MS&O spend review, outlook planning, Cats and Chems spend, Technical and Engineering SLS/FLSs, Educate the engineers on designed and spec’d work, Small Capital Projects (Local) & PPA interface SAP Based Activities, Local Contracts Administrators, Supply Chain Supervisors.
- Key procurement partners to support work execution: Category Families, incl. Global Sourcing, Contracts Managers, Buying, ACC, Payables Interface Lead, NA Procurement TA Advisor, Local APM, Midstream / CFO, Upstream.
Successful candidates will have:- Support Business / Supply Chain with resolving supplier-related issues, Act as Global Procurement’s eyes, ears, and boots on the ground at site to identify commercial opportunities.
- Mentors GBC colleagues, Direct RtP issues that have direct impact on site reliability to the correct RtP contacts.
- Key Deliverables: Annual Outcomes include: Exceed world class ROI of 6% in Cost Reduction, Maximize Coast Avoidance and Business Enhancement opportunities, Train site partners on procurement fundamentals (e.g. Procurement 101)
- Kick-off annual Value Integration Plan: Quarterly Stewardship of key KPIs for the site: cost increases, cost reduction, cost avoidance, business enhancement, etc. Enforces Bid Waiver Form, Emergency procurement support for the site. After hours, resolution of impacts to reliability. Fully empowered to resolve issues using procurement resources.
- Downstream oil and gas experience being particularly desirable.
