Simultaneous Operations (SIMOPS) Lead

Agilus is recruiting for a Simultaneous Operations (SIMOPS) Lead in the Energy Industry in St. John's, Newfoundland. The SIMOPS Lead manages planning, interfaces, and coordination of all simultaneous offshore activities for the field. The role oversees schedule integration, operational readiness, risk mitigation, and communication between multiple vessels and project teams. Based onshore with potential offshore rotations, this position supports planning, execution, and closeout while ensuring safe, efficient, and clash-free project delivery. Total rewards:- $90.00 - $113.00 hourly
- Pay range: $90–$113 per hour, based on experience
- Full-time, 40 hours per week (Monday–Friday), with potential extended hours
- One-year contract with the potential for extensi
- Primarily office-based; periodic travel to local and international sites
- Offshore travel required during key execution phases
- Opportunity to support project closeout following offshore execution
A typical day:- Lead and coordinate SIMOPS planning across all offshore project activities
- Review integrated project schedules to ensure adequate SIMOPS detail
- Facilitate SIMOPS meetings to identify constraints, interdependencies, and actions
- Manage the interface process and maintain the interface action register
- Coordinate SIMOPS operational readiness, reviews, forms, and tools
- Develop and maintain SIMOPS matrices, communication plans, and tracking tools
- Prepare SIMOPS stewardship reports highlighting progress, risks, and mitigations
- Lead SIMOPS-focused multi-party calls during offshore execution
Successful candidates will have:- Engineering degree or equivalent technical education/experience
- Minimum 10 years of offshore oil & gas industry experience
- Strong understanding of project planning and execution best practices
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, reporting, and organizational skills
- Experience with offshore operations (Subsea Construction, DSV, MODU operations, logistics)
- Ability to manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong collaborative leadership skills across diverse functional teams
- Valid offshore certifications (e.g., medical, BST with HUET, First Aid, WHMIS)
