EHS Advisor
St. John's, NL
Agilus is recruiting for a EHS Advisor in the Oil and Gas Sector in St. John's, Newfoundland. Total rewards:- $60.00 - $90.00 hourly
- 9 Months of contract position
- This is a temporary requirement for approximately nine months with potential for extension.
A typical day:- Work directly with and support the East Coast EH&S and the Wells Project Team develop required project documentation for upcoming campaign.
- Provide guidance to support the selection of chemicals that minimize risks to personnel and reduce potential impacts to the environment.
- Evaluate and screen chemicals to be used on offshore facilities.
- Support regulatory and corporate environmental reporting requirements.
Successful candidates will have:- 5 Years of experience required.
- Knowledge of environmental toxicity, WHMIS 2015 and the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS).
- Experience working in the marine environment and knowledge of offshore oil and gas environmental aspects.
- Completion of a degree in Chemistry, Environmental Sciences, Engineering or equivalent.
