Shop Technician

Agilus is recruiting for a Shop Technician in the material handling equipment industry in Scarborough, Ontario.
Our client specializes in custom built material handling equipment, catering to all manufacturing industries.
Total rewards:

$28.00 hourly
HOURS - 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

A typical day:

Assembly of our custom pneumatically and mechanically controlled lift assist devices
Inspect fabricated components ensuring compliance with drawings
Record assembly modifications required onto the component drawings to ensure as-built drawings can be duplicated correctly
Knowledge and use of all hand tools Knowledge of proper hardware fastening
Assist service technicians in the installation of light overhead cranes on job sites mainly in Southern Ontario.

Successful candidates will have:

Strong mechanical aptitude
Pneumatic experience an asset
Electrical experience an asset
Read and work from assembly drawings
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Valid driver's license is required
Must be able and willing to work overtime as required & travel to job sites for installations.
