Field Coordinator / Site Manager

Agilus is recruiting for a Field Coordinator / Site Manager in the oil & gas industry in Sarnia, Ontario. The Site Manager provides strategic direction, coordinates with client-led adjacent activities, and ensures alignment with program standards and timelines. This person will serve as the execution lead within the Site Leadership Team, working closely with the Decommission Manager and the Disconnect Technical Managers. This role will be onsite daily for the duration of execution and oversee day to day onsite execution, ensure vendor coordination, drive safety compliance, and act as a key liaison between the site and the broader program Total rewards:- $62.00 - $85.00 hourly
- Preferred rates for benefit coverage available
- Contract anticipated to go till end of Dec 2026 / Jan 2027
- Must undergo background and drug testing requirements for site badging
A typical day:- Manage day-to-day relocation activities within their site. Coordinate and monitor daily relocation activities on-site.
- Facilitate resolution of on-site issues and ensure alignment with the relocation schedule.
- Lead and coordinate all onsite execution activities associated with the lab relocation workstreams.
- Manage a detailed three week look ahead schedule reflecting planned work, resource needs, dependencies, and critical path activities.
- Act as the primary onsite contact for all vendors, contractors, and service partners. Ensure clear scope communication, adherence to site access requirements, and verification of proper permitting.
- Uphold all program and site-level safety standards, validating work is performed in compliance with EH&S requirements. Conduct routine field checks for safe work practices and escalate any safety concerns immediately.
- Provide routine progress reporting to the program team, including schedule updates, risk logs, vendor status, and field observations. Facilitate alignment between site execution activities and program level milestones, standards, and change controls.
- Manage Border Crossing Documentation and Requirements through Export Customs and Clearance vendor (DHL Global Forwarding). Manage border crossing paperwork, including customs documentation for equipment, tools, and materials moving between Canada and U.S. project sites.
Successful candidates will have:- Strong background in field coordination and onsite vendor oversight across multiple workstreams.
- Project Management
- Invoice review and validation
- Schedule execution management and updates (2- to 3 week look ahead planning).
- Strong communication skills and experience reporting on progress
- Experience in lab or technical relocation, facility transitions, capital project execution, or similar technical environments.
- Understanding of laboratory infrastructure, equipment disconnects requirements, utilities, and EH&S processes.
- Familiarity with customs processes, cross border logistics, and commercial shipping documentation is a significant asset. Prior experience supporting or coordinating work with Canadian teams is preferred.
