Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for a Events Manager in the Nuclear Industry in Pickering,, Ontario.
In this hands-on role as Events Manager, you will lead the planning, development, and execution of a diverse portfolio of industry events. You will manage events from concept through delivery and post-event evaluation, while building strong relationships with members, partners, sponsors, speakers, vendors, and industry stakeholders. The successful candidate will be a great team player who is highly organized, collaborative, solutions-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple events and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Total rewards:
  • $85000.00 - $95000.00 annually

A typical day:
  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of conferences, industry events, networking functions, trade missions, and golf tournaments from start to finish.
  • Manage sponsorship and exhibitor programs while building strong relationships with sponsors, vendors, members, and key industry stakeholders.
  • Develop, monitor, and reconcile event budgets to ensure cost-effective delivery and financial accountability.
  • Coordinate all event logistics, including venues, registrations, vendors, materials, and on-site event execution.
  • Organize speakers, agendas, and event programming to deliver engaging and successful attendee experiences.
  • Execute and support webinars and virtual events, including registration management and event platform administration.
  • Support international delegation visits and trade mission activities, ensuring seamless coordination and stakeholder engagement.
  • Track event performance, prepare post-event reports and analysis, and manage multiple priorities while collaborating with internal teams to drive continuous improvement.

Successful candidates will have:
  • 3-5+ years of experience in event management, conferences, trade shows, associations, or a related industry.
  • Proven project management and organizational skills with the ability to successfully manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Experience managing budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring financial accountability.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Comfortable working with sponsors, exhibitors, executives, members, and industry stakeholders in a professional environment.
  • Valid G driver's licence, reliable vehicle, and willingness to travel throughout Ontario as required.
  • Highly proactive, accountable, and self-directed with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Collaborative team player who thrives in a flexible environment and can independently manage events while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
