Test Operator

Agilus is recruiting for several Test Operators in the Micro-Electronics Manufacturing in Ottawa, Ontario.
With day-to-day supervision, carries out a broad variety of assigned tasks in a highly structured, repetitive LEAN environment. Key is to demonstrate a broad number of tasks well, and repeat these tasks as required, to produce a high volume of quality product in the shortest possible time, and to maintain aggressive production schedules. Is flexible to work on various products and processes within the manufacturing operation, dependent upon the need within the production schedule.
Responsibilities:

Independently perform tests according to process documentation
Understands test documents
Executes inventory control, cycle counting, and computer transactions
Component or wire preparation
Maintain and operate test fixtures and associated equipment per written test directions
Ensure printed labels are transacted to the correct planned order on tracker
Assist engineers or technicians by gathering requested information to help establish root cause of concerns, and determine corrective action

Requirements:

Experience in inverter testing and wiring of both control and power panels to wiring schedules and drawings is essential.
Nationally recognized certification in the field of panel wiring/electronic engineering.
Certification to IPC 620.
Must be able to interpret electrical drawings.
Experience/knowledge in selection of cable sizes, types and ratings along with application of cable termination/crimping techniques and soldering skills.
Must be able to separate control and power cables, identify and terminate wires as appropriate.
Perform assigned in-process inspection duties as required during product test.

Total rewards:

$19.00 hourly
Consistent weekly pay
4% vacation in lieu of paid time off
