Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for a Senior Coordinator, VDC/BIM in the Real Estate industry in North York, Ontario.
The Senior Coordinator of VDC/BIM is responsible for leading the implementation and management of BIM processes and technologies throughout the design and construction phases of projects. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders, enhancing project coordination, and ensuring the effective use of virtual design tools to improve project outcomes.

A typical day:

VDC/BIM Management : Develop and implement BIM standards, protocols, and workflows for all projects and oversee the creation, maintenance, and management of BIM models, ensuring compliance with BIM standards and project requirements
Project Coordination : Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to integrate VDC/BIM processes into project workflows and facilitate coordination meetings to resolve design conflicts and ensure model accuracy
Technology Implementation : Identify and implement the latest VDC/BIM technologies and software to enhance project efficiency and accuracy and provide training and support to project teams on VDC/BIM tools and processes
Quality Control : Conduct regular audits of BIM models to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to standards , Identify and address any discrepancies or issues within the models and ensure that BIM models are updated throughout the project lifecycle
Process Improvement : Analyze current VDC/BIM processes and identify areas for improvement and develop and implement best practices to optimize VDC/BIM workflows and enhance project outcomes
Team Leadership : Lead, mentor, and develop the VDC/BIM team, providing guidance and support and conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback and coaching

Successful candidates will have:

University degree or College diploma in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; A Master’s degree or professional certification in VDC/BIM is a plus
Minimum of 5 years of experience in VDC/BIM management, virtual design, or a related field within the real estate development or construction industry
Strong knowledge of VDC/BIM standards, protocols, and best practices
Proficiency in VDC/BIM software such as Revit, AutoCAD
Excellent project management and organizational skills
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders
Innovative mindset with a passion for technology and continuous improvement
