Financial Analyst contract open now in North York!Agilus is recruiting for a Financial Analyst in the oil and gas sector in North York, Ontario. We are looking for a Junior Financial Analyst to support our client's team with financial analysis, reporting, and month-end processes. This role works closely with the PMO and technical stakeholders to turn financial data into clear, useful insights that help leaders manage budgets and forecasts. What's in it for you:- $40.00 - $45.00 hourly
- Location: North York
- Monday to Friday, full time hours
- 12-month contract
Responsibilities:- Support monthly budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for the department
- Collect and validate labour and non-labour cost data from stakeholders
- Prepare charts, tables, and reports for leadership to review and present
- Assist with month-end close activities, including accruals and data validation
- Ensure financial data is accurate across internal reporting systems
- Help standardize and streamline financial reporting and analytics approaches
- Support audit, SOX, and regulatory requirements
Requirements:- University degree in Business, Finance, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in a finance analytics role
- Strong analytical and data-crunching skills (variance analysis, trends, insights) and experience with large data sets
- Clear communicator who can explain financial concepts simply and logically
- Knowledge of IT or technology environments
