Senior Maintenance Technician (Live-In)

Exciting Opportunity for a Skilled Maintenance Professional in Property Management !Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for a Senior Maintenance Technician (Live-In) in the Real Estate and Property Management industry in New Market, Ontario. The Senior Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance of the property, with a goal to creating a high-level experience of customer service to the residents. Total rewards:- $40000.00 - $49000.00 annually

Responsibilities:- Perform preventive, routine, emergency, and general maintenance duties across residential properties, including suite turnover and ensuring units are rent-ready.
- Conduct daily building inspections, troubleshoot maintenance issues, and complete minor plumbing, electrical, HVAC, boiler, and mechanical repairs.
- Coordinate and prioritize work orders, ensuring resident requests and service concerns are addressed promptly and efficiently.
- Oversee contractors, cleaning staff, and vendors while ensuring quality, safety, and operational compliance across the property.
- Maintain building systems including elevators, fire panels, sprinklers, boilers, and mechanical equipment while keeping accurate maintenance and service records.
- Support overall property upkeep through exterior maintenance, snow removal, cleanliness, safety compliance, and emergency/on-call response duties.
- Foster strong resident relationships through excellent customer service, prompt communication, and issue resolution.
- Promote environmental sustainability initiatives, safe work practices, and energy-efficient building operations.
Successful candidates will have:- 5 years’ experience in all areas of building operations, including mechanical, fire and safety, electrical and HVAC systems. General building construction knowledge and experience. Able to read and review construction drawings.
- High school diploma supplemented with post-secondary courses. WHMIS and First Aid Training an asset.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both oral and written in English, superior ability to develop and sustain cooperating working relationships with staff, contractors, the public and especially tenants.
- Ability to allocate one’s time effectively, work under pressure and manage tight deadlines; ability to handle multiple demands and competing priorities, adapt to new ideas and constant changes. Willing to be and available for after-hours callouts in emergency or unavoidable situations.
