Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for a Senior Maintenance Technician (Live-In) in the Real Estate and Property Management industry in New Market, Ontario.
The Senior Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance of the property, with a goal to creating a high-level experience of customer service to the residents.

Responsibilities:

Perform preventive, routine, emergency, and general maintenance duties across residential properties, including suite turnover and ensuring units are rent-ready.
Conduct daily building inspections, troubleshoot maintenance issues, and complete minor plumbing, electrical, HVAC, boiler, and mechanical repairs.
Coordinate and prioritize work orders, ensuring resident requests and service concerns are addressed promptly and efficiently.
Oversee contractors, cleaning staff, and vendors while ensuring quality, safety, and operational compliance across the property.
Maintain building systems including elevators, fire panels, sprinklers, boilers, and mechanical equipment while keeping accurate maintenance and service records.
Support overall property upkeep through exterior maintenance, snow removal, cleanliness, safety compliance, and emergency/on-call response duties.
Foster strong resident relationships through excellent customer service, prompt communication, and issue resolution.
Promote environmental sustainability initiatives, safe work practices, and energy-efficient building operations.

Successful candidates will have:

5 years’ experience in all areas of building operations, including mechanical, fire and safety, electrical and HVAC systems. General building construction knowledge and experience. Able to read and review construction drawings.
High school diploma supplemented with post-secondary courses. WHMIS and First Aid Training an asset.
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both oral and written in English, superior ability to develop and sustain cooperating working relationships with staff, contractors, the public and especially tenants.
Ability to allocate one’s time effectively, work under pressure and manage tight deadlines; ability to handle multiple demands and competing priorities, adapt to new ideas and constant changes. Willing to be and available for after-hours callouts in emergency or unavoidable situations.
