The Senior Estimator will be responsible for preparing, validating and optimizing cost estimates throughout the entire lifecycle of EPCM projects.

A typical day:- Work with one of Canada's Top 3 Engineering Firm
- Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents to develop accurate estimates aligned with project scope.
- Collaborate with project teams, suppliers, and contractors to gather and validate reliable cost data.
- Analyze market conditions, material pricing, and contractual requirements to support estimate accuracy and credibility.
- Evaluate and manage cost impacts from scope changes, change orders, and contractual modifications.
- Identify project risks and uncertainties, incorporate contingencies, and recommend cost optimization strategies.
- Develop clear estimation reports, present findings to stakeholders, and monitor estimate performance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Partner with project managers, planners, engineering, procurement, and contract teams to drive continuous improvement, best practices, and team development
Successful candidates will have:- Degree in Engineering, Construction, or a related discipline with 15+ years of major capital project estimating experience.
- Proven EPC/EPCM estimating background with the ability to develop complete project estimates across the full EPC lifecycle.
- Strong experience preparing Class 5 through Class 1 estimates for mining, energy, infrastructure, or oil & gas projects.
- Skilled in capital cost estimating, including risk factors, contingencies, market conditions, and external cost drivers such as tariffs.
- Proficient with estimating software and project controls tools, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experienced presenting estimates, assumptions, and recommendations directly to clients and senior stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, influencing, and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to thrive in multidisciplinary environments.
- Bilingual (English/French) preferred
