Agilus is recruiting for a Foster Caregiver Success Manager in the non-profit sector in Victoria, British Columbia. Agilus Work Solutions is recruiting a Foster Caregiver Support Person & Trainer for a purpose-driven, charitable organization serving Indigenous communities. In this role, you’ll be a trusted resource and welcoming presence for foster caregivers—providing guidance, training, and culturally grounded support. You’ll collaborate with caregivers, Elders, and community partners to ensure children and youth in care are supported through strong, informed, and connected caregiving networks. A typical day:- Serve as the primary support contact for foster caregivers
- Build strong, trusting relationships with caregivers and community partners
- Provide training, resources, and guidance to new and existing caregivers
- Monitor and respond to inquiries through a caregiver support call line
- Facilitate caregiver engagement and access to necessary tools and supports
- Attend community events, meetings, and cultural initiatives
- Encourage caregiver well-being and success in caring for children and youth
- Promote accountability, transparency, and culturally respectful practice
Successful candidates will have:- Experience as a foster caregiver for children in care, or equivalent lived experience. Individuals with lived experience may not require formal educational credentials and/or may hold a Bachelor of Social Work or a related degree.
- Strong background or understanding—through professional or lived experience—of Indigenous Social Work, particularly in the areas of child welfare and social services.
- Knowledge of the Child and Family Services Act, Caregiver Support Services Standards, Child Protection Standards, Ministry of Children and Youth Services regulations, guidelines, policy directives, and case management/supervision requirements.
- Knowledge of Customary Care, including the philosophy, development, and delivery of services, as well as an understanding of Indigenous communities, traditions, and family structures.
- Knowledge of First Nation cultures, traditions, and community structures
- Experience with child welfare frontline case management systems, procedures, and documentation.
- Understanding of Indigenous Child & Family Service Agency operations
- Preference for applicants of Indigenous ancestry (First Nations, Métis, Inuit)
