Agilus is proud to partner with Hatch, one of Canada's Top 100 Employers and a leading engineering firm supporting major projects across infrastructure, energy, and mining.Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for a Mechanical Designer in the Engineering consulting industry in MIssissauga, Ontario. The Mssissauga team is currently seeking a dedicated Mechanical Designer to assist project work in the office. The Mechanical Designer is broadly responsible for development of the 3D Model and 2D drawings while participating in model design reviews and milestone reviews.
This is an in office Monday - Friday. Total rewards:- $89000.00 - $138000.00 annually

A typical day:- Work independently to apply design principles for 3D models and 2D mechanical equipment, piping layout or general arrangement drawings of industrial buildings and processes.
- Work collaboratively to share the results of your work with senior members of the discipline and/or other Hatch groups.
- Use vendor data, drawings, and information to develop and verify the model.
- Create and maintain check sheets for all equipment as vendor data is received. Back model all changes as required.
- Perform clash detection of models with other discipline models.
- Participate in operability and maintainability reviews, walkthroughs.
- Interface with multidisciplinary teams to ensure overall design intent is in accordance with the mechanical and layout design criteria.
- Willingness and ability to travel and work in other Hatch offices or project work sites (including remote sites) as needs and opportunities arise.
Successful candidates will have:- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a heavy industrial design and layout. EPCM environment is preferred.
- Certification or diploma qualification in Engineering Design and Drafting.
- Strong personal commitment to Safety and Quality.
- Academic or work experience with Bentley MicroStation, OpenPlant P&ID or Design Review CAD software is an asset.
