Full Stack Developer

Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for a Full Stack Developer in the logistics space in a hybrid work environment in Markham, Ontario.
Synergie is partnering with a well-established Canadian organization to find an experienced iOS and backend developer. You'll join a collaborative engineering group building mobile and cloud-based tools used by teams across the business every day. This is a hands-on role where you'll take features from idea to production, working on both the native iOS app and the services behind it.
A typical day:

Build and maintain native iOS applications in Swift and SwiftUI, including device features like authentication, camera, location, and push notifications Develop and support backend APIs using Node.js, TypeScript, and NestJS, hosted in a cloud-native (Azure) environment Integrate new services with existing Java-based systems and third-party platforms Take ownership of features across their full lifecycle: design, development, testing, release, and ongoing support Implement secure sign-in and identity management on both the app and API side Design apps that work reliably in real-world conditions, including weak connectivity and on-the-go use, with clear loading, error, and offline states Write automated tests for key user flows and API contracts, and troubleshoot on physical devices Deploy iOS releases through established pipelines (Xcode, TestFlight, or MDM) and monitor performance in production Work closely with product, UX, architecture, and DevOps on planning, estimates, and release readiness Document technical decisions and support processes so other engineers can pick things up easily

Successful candidates will have:

Strong, production-level experience with Swift for iOS development Proven track record of successfully deploying at least one iOS app to production Solid backend experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and NestJS Experience integrating with Java-based applications or services Working knowledge of relational databases (Azure SQL or similar), message queues, and API authentication (OIDC, JWT) Clear communication skills and a habit of writing testable, well-documented code

What's in it for you:

$70.00 - $80.00 hourly
a 6 month contract extendable

Additional Consideration given to:

Experience in the logistics or supply chain space Background building apps for operations or field-based teams Familiarity with Azure services such as Container Apps, API Management, Key Vault, and Application Insights Experience with MDM tools like Intune Exposure to production monitoring and incident response
