Quality Technician - Metrology

Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for a Quality Technician - Metrology in the Environmental Manufacturing Industry in London,, Ontario. Reporting to the Quality Control Team Leader, the on-site Quality Technician provides dedicated dimensional inspection and metrology focusing on First Article Inspection (FI) and part qualification.
The facility operates on a steady day shift, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm (Monday to Friday).
The ideal candidate will be able to transition their existing CMM and metrology expertise to the facility's Polyworks and Keyence environment within a short onboarding time. Total rewards:- $30.00 hourly
- Weekly pay including 4% vacation pay
- Preferred rates for benefit coverage available
- 6 month contract
Accountabilities:- Perform dimensional First Article Inspection of new and changed components to support part qualification
- Review drawings and requirements with Engineering and QA and align on the measurement approach before and/or during inspection
- Translate technical requirements into practical inspection plans and appropriately select measurement methods based on geometry, tolerance, accessibility, and accuracy needs
- Review inspection results for technical validity and investigate anomalies
- Create and execute CMM inspection programs from engineering drawings, specifications, and dimensional requirements
- Operate the FARO portable CMM arm with Polyworks and the Keyence system for optical dimensional inspection as appropriate
- Perform inspections using various quality tools
- Other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties in this job classification
Successful candidates will have:- Strong working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerencing with the ability to independently interpret dimensions, tolerances, datums, notes, and specifications
- Experience performing First Article Inspection or comprehensive dimensional part analysis
- Experience using precision measurement equipment
- Ability to recognize questionable results and troubleshoot measurement setup, alignment, fixturing, probing, program, or equipment issues
- Previous experience with Polyworks and/or Keyence considered an asset
