Measurement Coordinator – Heavy Oil Operations | Regulatory Excellence & Data Integrity Focus
Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for a Contract Measurement Coordinator in the Oil & Gas – Upstream / Heavy Oil Operations in Calgary, Alberta.
Join a dynamic operations environment supporting a complex heavy oil asset. This role drives measurement quality, regulatory compliance, and data accuracy across facilities, working closely with engineering, operations, and accounting teams to ensure reliable production reporting and continuous improvement.
Total rewards:

$70.00 - $90.00 hourly
Preferred rates for benefit coverage available

A typical day:

Ensure regulatory compliance with AER and Saskatchewan MER directives
Maintain and improve measurement standards, specifications, and practices
Lead Enhance Production Audit Program including audits and gap closure
Coordinate MARP updates and regulatory submissions
Analyse facility balances and KPIs to validate measurement accuracy
Investigate and resolve metering differences, imbalances, and reporting issues
Respond to audits, non-conformance reports, and regulatory inquiries
Support cross-functional teams on measurement strategy and MOC initiatives

Successful candidates will have:

8+ years’ experience in measurement or heavy oil and gas operations
Strong knowledge of AER and MER regulations including Directive 017
Expertise in industry measurement standards AGA API and sampling systems
Solid understanding of oil and gas facilities and instrumentation
Experience with production accounting and reporting principles preferred
Proficiency in data analysis tools and operational technology systems
Strong communication skills translating technical concepts to operations teams
Engineering or instrumentation certification or equivalent experience preferred
