IT Manager – Lead Infrastructure, Security & IT Operations | Contract-to-Hire Opportunity
Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for an IT Manager in the energy industry in a hybrid work environment in Kincardine, Ontario.
We are seeking a hands-on IT Manager to lead IT operations, infrastructure, and security while aligning technology initiatives with business goals. This role combines technical leadership with people management, overseeing a team of IT professionals while maintaining enterprise systems, cloud services, networks, and security programs. Ideal candidates will bring a strong Microsoft infrastructure background, proven leadership experience, and a passion for driving operational excellence and continuous improvement.
A typical day:

Lead, mentor, and support a team of IT professionals
Provide technical leadership across infrastructure and IT initiatives
Manage enterprise servers, networks, cloud platforms, and security systems
Oversee system performance, availability, maintenance, and upgrades
Administer Microsoft technologies including Windows Server, Azure, and Microsoft 365
Manage identity and access management, security controls, and compliance initiatives
Coordinate vendor relationships, licensing, contracts, and procurement activities

Requirements:

Bring 5+ years of experience in a senior IT or IT leadership role
Demonstrate strong expertise within Microsoft enterprise environments
Apply deep knowledge of infrastructure, networking, virtualization, and cloud technologies
Support Windows Server, Hyper-V, Azure, Microsoft 365, and SQL Server environments
Manage security programs, identity management, backup, and disaster recovery solutions
Troubleshoot complex technical issues across infrastructure and operations environments
Support on-call and after-hours operational requirements as needed
