Payroll Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to manage high-volume weekly payroll in an industrial construction environmentAgilus is recruiting for a Payroll Specialist in the Construction Industry in a hybrid work environment in Calgary, Alberta. The successful candidate will bring 5–7 years of payroll experience post-designation, hands-on expertise in processing large employee populations Total rewards:- $85.00 - $95.00 annually

- Salary based on years of experience, skills and qualifications
- Hybrid work model: 3 days in office, 2 days working from home
- Location: Downtowns, Calgary

A typical day:- Process payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with provincial and federal regulations.
- High volume of onboardings and terminations, ROE
- Validate timesheets, imports, and job cost allocations; reconcile hours, premiums, shift differentials, banked overtime, and allowances
- Hands-on manual payroll experience, weekly payroll, hourly and salary
- Review and post payroll journals; reconcile payroll accounts to GL; support month-end/quarter-end close.
Successful candidates will have:- 5 – 7 years of payroll experience post PCP designation
- Working knowledge of Vista payroll module within Canadian space
- Proven experience with high volume of payroll (1500+)
- PCP designation
- SOX compliance working knowledge
