Contract Heavy Duty Mechanic

Agilus is recruiting for a Contract Heavy Duty Mechanic in the Oil and Gas industry in Calgary, Alberta.
Join a dynamic team as a Contract Heavy-Duty Mechanic, supporting fleet maintenance and repair for a variety of equipment in a safety-first environment. This fly-in/fly-out role offers a 7&7 rotation and the opportunity to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team culture.

Total rewards:
  • $61.00 - $75.00 hourly
  • Fly-In/Fly-Out position with flights from Calgary or Edmonton
  • 7&7 rotation (Wednesday to Wednesday)

A typical day:
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on fleet vehicles and equipment including trucks, generators, ATVs, and UTVs
  • Complete internal work orders and maintain accurate fleet records
  • Order and receive parts as required
  • Inspect equipment, diagnose faults, and repair or replace defective components
  • Test repaired equipment to ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications
  • Supervise contracted labour when required
  • Report and follow up on incidents with corrective and preventative measures

Successful candidates will have:
  • Minimum 5 years of journeyman experience
  • Class 5 driver’s licence with Air Brake Endorsement
  • H2S Alive and Standard First Aid certifications
  • Advanced diagnostic and repair skills for electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and A/C systems
  • Ability to work independently and manage day-to-day operations without supervision
  • Experience with Ford, Kubota, Caterpillar, Detroit, and Cummins considered an asset
  • High School Diploma required
  • Journeyman Heavy-Duty Mechanic ticket (Red Seal considered an asset)
