Scheduler / Planner

Agilus is recruiting for a Scheduler/Planner in the oil & gas industry in Edmonton, Alberta.
Candidate responsible to manage overall scheduling cycle of optimized plan while achieving targets in a safe, cost effective and timely manner at the Edmonton refinery.

A typical day:
  • Develop Integrated schedules for capital projects and turnaround events including building/linking of individual job plans and levelling the workforce resource pools.
  • Manage and implement progress into the Primavera (P6) and deliver status reporting.
  • Prepare, update and distribute shift/daily/weekly schedules to the construction/turnaround teams.
  • Lead and facilitate schedule development and tracking meetings and assist in reviews on required frequency.
  • Collaborate with extended Project/Turnaround stakeholders to identify and optimize critical-path.
  • Deliver Earned Value management reporting for forecasting EAC during execution stages.
  • Be able to develop and maintain develop Power BI reporting on creative ways.
  • Provide input and continuous improvement initiatives of the maintenance, planning, scheduling and data integrity processes and standards.

Successful candidates will have:
  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).
  • Minimum Ten (10) Scheduling Experience in Industrial setting of managing Turnaround Schedules.
  • Strong knowledge of Primavera P6 Scheduling tool along with familiarity to SAP.
  • Working knowledge of Power BI reporting and Apps.
  • A deep understanding of planning and scheduling concepts, performances measures, scheduling tools and techniques.
  • Excellent communication and people skills with the ability to work professionally with other team members at various levels, Candidate will take a lead role for the assigned construction projects and/or units for any turnaround event.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills with the ability to work with complex schedules and optimize for best cost/benefit ratios.

Total rewards:
  • 24 Months contract position
  • 5 days on / 2 days off
