Senior Platform Engineer

Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for a Senior Platform Engineer in the Financial Industry in a hybrid work environment in Toronto, Ontario.

Responsibilities:

Design, deploy, and manage Databricks environments on Azure as part of the enterprise data platform
Support the deployment and management of Azure data services and platform infrastructure
Work closely with Azure networking, cloud, and security teams to implement secure and reliable platform solutions
Configure and manage Azure networking, connectivity, security controls, and related infrastructure
Support Databricks Unity Catalog and associated platform capabilities
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub and related tooling

Requirements:

Partner with engineering and infrastructure teams to support data platform deployments and other Azure initiatives as required
Troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, deployment, and platform-related issues.
Contribute to platform standards, automation, operational processes, and continuous improvement
Experience deploying and managing Databricks in Azure
Understanding of cloud security principles and enterprise network environments

What's in it for you:

$13000.00 - $145000.00 hourly
Focused on platform and infrastructure enablement for Data and AI workload
Strong cloud/platform engineering experience rather than primarily coming from a data engineering or AI engineering background.

Further additional qualifications:

Ability to collaborate effectively with cloud, networking, security, and engineering teams
Experience with CI/CD and GitHub
Broader Azure deployment experience beyond data platform
Experience with infrastructure automation and platform standardization
Familiarity with enterprise governance, identity, access management, and security controls in Azure
