Agilus is recruiting for a Maintenance Technician to join a busy commercial property team in Toronto. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on maintenance professional with experience in general building maintenance, basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical repairs. The role offers long-term potential through ongoing contract extensions while working in a dynamic property environment supporting building operations and tenant satisfaction.
Total rewards:

$24.00 hourly
Earn up to $24 per hour
Start with a 3-month contract with strong extension potential, typically rolling for 2 years
Gain long-term work opportunities with a stable property portfolio
Work at a single Toronto location
Develop skills across multiple building systems
Join a collaborative facilities maintenance team
Receive ongoing exposure to commercial building operations
Build valuable experience with a recognized property management organization

Responsibilities:

Perform routine building maintenance and repairs
Complete basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical tasks
Repair and maintain common building fixtures and equipment
Conduct drywall patching and minor wall repairs
Install and replace faucets, light switches, and related fixtures
Respond to maintenance requests from building occupants
Remove garbage and maintain cleanliness of common areas
Support fire alarm bypass procedures and building maintenance projects

Requirements:

Demonstrate experience in commercial, residential, or institutional maintenance
Perform basic plumbing repairs including toilet and faucet repairs
Complete light electrical work such as changing switches and fixtures
Troubleshoot and perform minor mechanical equipment repairs
Apply knowledge of HVAC and general building systems
Repair drywall and complete basic finishing work
Lift, carry, and perform physically demanding maintenance activities
Possess experience with fire alarm bypass procedures or willingness to discuss related experience
