Risk Management Consultant

Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for a Risk Management Consultant in the Financial Sector in a hybrid work environment in Toronto, Ontario.
We're seeking an experienced Operational Risk Policy Writer to support a major financial institution in enhancing and modernizing its Enterprise Operational Risk Management Framework. This role is ideal for professionals with deep banking risk experience who have developed, reviewed, or remediated enterprise-level policies, standards, and procedures. You'll work closely with risk leaders and stakeholders to ensure governance documentation aligns with evolving regulatory expectations and industry best practices.
Total rewards:

$60.00 - $70.00 hourly

Responsibilities:

Review, update, and develop enterprise Operational Risk policies, standards, and procedures.
Support policy remediation and framework enhancement initiatives.
Analyze existing governance documentation and align it with current enterprise risk management expectations.
Draft new policy documents where required, ensuring clarity, consistency, and regulatory compliance.
Translate complex regulatory and business requirements into well-structured governance documentation.
Collaborate with Operational Risk, Compliance, Legal, Audit, and business stakeholders throughout the policy lifecycle.
Support ongoing improvements to the Operational Risk Management Framework.

Requirements:

8+ years of experience within banking or financial services
8+ years of experience writing or maintaining: Enterprise Risk Policies, Operational Risk, Policies, Standards Procedures, Governance, Documentation
Strong understanding of Operational Risk Management principles and frameworks.
Experience interpreting and documenting enterprise risk management requirements.
Exceptional technical writing and document management skills.
