Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for a Health, Safety and Environment Advisor in the chemical manufacturing industry in Slave Lake, Alberta.
The HSE Advisor is responsible for implementing and maintaining health, safety, and environmental programs to ensure a safe and compliant workplace. The role supports operations by identifying hazards, conducting inspections, assisting with incident investigations, and promoting safe work practices.
Total rewards:

$100000.00 annually
Steady Monday–Friday schedule with consistent work hours
Monday to Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
Annual bonus- 7.5% of base pay
3 weeks of vacation

Responsibilities:

Ensure compliance with HSE regulations, codes, and company policies. Maintain HSE documentation and records
Coordinate safety orientation and onboarding for new hires
Identify workplace hazards and help develop effective controls
Conduct site inspections and audits of safety practices
Assist with incident investigations and reporting
Participate in audits (e.g., COR) and safety programs
Assist with emergency response planning and environmental monitoring
Develop and deliver monthly safety meeting presentations

Successful candidates will have:

Diploma, certificate, or degree in Occupational Health & Safety (or CRSP designation preferred)
National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) certification required
Minimum 5 years of HSE experience (industrial/chemical environment preferred)
Strong knowledge of safety regulations and incident investigation processes
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database systems
ICS 300 certification considered an asset
