Contract Plant Operator III

Agilus is recruiting for a Contract Plant Operator III in the energy / industrial operations in Calgary, Alberta. We are seeking an experienced Control Room Operator to safely and efficiently operate plant systems from a centralized control room. This role is responsible for monitoring critical parameters, maintaining accurate logs, supporting maintenance activities, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. The position follows a 14 days on / 14 days off rotation with 12-hour shifts and plays a key role in safe, reliable plant operations. Total rewards:- $65.00 - $82.00 hourly

A typical day:- Monitor and operate plant systems from the control room
- Conduct surveillance of operating equipment and critical parameters
- Maintain accurate and detailed operating logs
- Prepare equipment for maintenance activities as required
- Perform routine maintenance and preventative inspections
- Identify operational improvement opportunities
- Collaborate with team members to implement changes
- Support and comply with the Health, Safety, and Environmental management system
Successful candidates will have:- 5–7 years of relevant operational experience
- Strong technical and functional knowledge of plant operations
- Ability to perform varied and complex operational tasks
- Solid understanding of applicable technology and control systems
- Proven ability to make decisions within broad parameters
- Experience supporting maintenance and inspection activities
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Commitment to safety, environmental, and operational excellence
