Contract Commercial Analyst

Agilus is recruiting for a Contract Commercial Analyst in the accounting and finance in Calgary, Alberta.
This role supports a national retail network by ensuring accurate reconciliation and settlement of credit, debit, loyalty and gift card transactions. Working across multiple systems and business units, you will manage third-party settlements, investigate variances, prepare balance sheet reconciliations and support month-end activities in a fast-paced retail environment.
Total rewards:

$40.00 - $55.00 hourly

A typical day:

Reconcile third-party settlement files to retail and cardlock transactions
Ensure cash received aligns with expected settlements and site payments
Reconcile accounts payable invoices at a transactional level
Investigate discrepancies and respond to third-party and internal queries
Monitor receivable balances and follow up on outstanding collections
Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations for card, loyalty and gift card accounts
Record journal entries in SMS and SAP
Support ad-hoc requests and accounting projects

Successful candidates will have:

Hold a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related financial discipline
Bring 1–3 years of accounting or financial experience
Demonstrate strong reconciliation and analytical skills
Show experience working with high-volume transactional data
Possess knowledge of retail or transaction-based environments
Exhibit strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Communicate effectively with internal teams and third parties
