Chemical Process Projects Need an I&C Expert !Agilus is recruiting for an Instrumentation & Controls Engineer in the Engineering industry in Windsor, Ontario. Our client is seeking an experienced Instrumentation & Controls Engineer to join their Process Engineering group. This role will focus on the design, implementation, and optimization of control systems for chemical processing facilities, with a strong emphasis on projects in the paint/coatings and food & beverage industries.
The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with process control systems, instrumentation design, and commissioning in industrial environments, along with a practical understanding of regulatory and safety requirements. Total rewards:- $90000.00 - $110000.00 annually

Responsibilities:- Design and develop instrumentation and control systems for process facilities
- Prepare P&IDs, control narratives, and I/O lists
- Specify and select field instrumentation (flow, pressure, temperature, level, analyzers)
- Develop PLC/DCS logic and HMI interfaces (as applicable)
- Support process control strategies, including loop tuning and optimization
- Participate in HAZOPs, risk assessments, and safety reviews
- Coordinate with process, mechanical, and electrical engineers on multidisciplinary projects and support procurement, installation, and commissioning activities
- Troubleshoot and resolve control system issues during startup and operation
Successful candidates will have:- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Chemical, or Mechatronics Engineering
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or eligibility in Ontario is preferred
- 5+ years of experience in instrumentation and controls within industrial/process environments
- Direct experience in paint/coatings and/or food & beverage processing is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of PLCs, DCS systems, and industrial communication protocols
- Experience with platforms such as Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar
- Understanding of hazardous area classification (for chemical/paint environments)
