Snr Control Systems Engineer

Fantastic permanent hire opportunity in either Edmonton or Calgary
Agilus is recruiting for a Snr Control Systems Engineer in the Oil & Gas Industry in Edmonton, Alberta.
You will design, develop, and optimize control systems for a variety of applications. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust and efficient solutions that meet client needs.
What's in it for you:

100K - 165K annually
Bonus: Based on company performance
Vacation: 3-4 Weeks, flexible based on Experience.

Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain control systems, including hardware and software integration
Prepare technical documentation, including datasheets and system specifications
Develop control algorithms, control narratives, and system logic for automation applications.
Program, configure, and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, and other automation equipment.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and specifications.
Perform system testing, debugging, and validation to ensure optimal performance
Provide technical support and training to clients and internal teams as needed.

Successful candidates will have:

Ideal candidate will come from EPC, OEM or System Integrator background in Canada
10 to 15+ years of experience
Rockwell would be their primary need.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Strong understanding of control theory, automation systems, and industrial protocols (e.g., Modbus, Ethernet/IP, PROFIBUS).
Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Schneider Electric, Siemens) and HMI/SCADA development is an asset.
Familiarity with advanced technologies such as IoT, AI, or machine learning in control applications is an asset.
Experience with CAD software for electrical schematics.
